Cloud Hosting- The New Ultimate Web Service

The method of operating a website on multiple servers is called cloud hosting. It has caught the interest of web developers all over the world. Cloud hosting provides the provision of computational resources like data and software on-demand through a definite and consistent computer network, and not from any local server. The clients can present a task to the cloud computing service provider, like a word processing, and get their task finished fruitfully without possessing the software or hardware.

Users can access over the Internet an extensive range of on-demand technologies and applications through cloud hosting services. Some of the applications that companies are already using to support business processes are email, remote data backup and storage, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). They are proving to be very useful to everyone using them.

Cloud hosting services have 3 basic but primary features that distinguish them from the other web hosting services.

  • ·         Using this one can get modal resources on demand. Typically, the clients are asked to pay a certain price for the computing resources i.e. the storage, RAM, CPU etc. on a monthly, quarterly, or annual billing cycle even if all the allocated resources are not used. But this scene changed when the cloud hosting was set up. It allows customers to pay on a "Pay per Use" basis. The counter is checked on the number of Mb's used. This is the major key benefit of cloud as the people now have to pay for only those resources that they've used.

  • ·         Another of its feature is Elasticity or Scalability. Cloud infrastructure presents the user with the facility of regulating the usage limits in line with their choice and calculations. This elasticity of cloud hosting is magnetizing webmasters everywhere to try their hands too on this service. The users are not mandated to invest in the costly hardware because all the configuration tasks, troubleshooting, expansion of the infrastructure and other aspects are taken concern by the cloud hosting providers.

  • ·         Cloud hosting services have autonomous infrastructure power. There are two types of clouds- Public Cloud and Private Cloud. If the servers are set-up in the web hosts facility and the hardware and resources are provided by the host, it is termed as a Public Cloud infrastructure. Whereas, if the servers are set-up in the clients’ site, the hardware and resources are seen after by the client, then this is termed as the Private Cloud Infrastructure.

Thus, cloud hosting gives developers more room and flexibility to practice novel innovations, rather than having to worry about unnecessary things.
